Flare

I did this for my friend 's birthday. He likes Black Dragons and he likes the US Marines, so now he has both. Those are his characters The Black Dragon Veloihthrax or Valerie and the marine Adams. The scene goes a bit like this: Adams says they're supposed to fight side by side now to which his squad asks "fight at who's side?"
Then he lights up the flare showing the dragon. Maybe this will motivate him to finally write that story he's been talking about.

Done in CS3 in about 15 hours. It was also an experiment for me to get the lighting right.
