It's time to talk about this little gem of an Indie Game I found. If you are tired of shooting things in Call of Duty then you should check this one out. Only once in a blue moon there's a game that makes you reel even days after you've completed it. Papers please is one of those.  It's developed by one man and IGF winner Lucas Pope. The concept looks incredibly boring at first glance. You are sitting in a little booth on the heavily guarded border of the communistic nation of Arstotzka and neighboring nation Kolechia. The two nations have just signed a fragile peace treaty after six years of bloody war, the tensions are still high and the hatred is rooted deep.

Your task is to check the papers of anyone trying to enter Arstotzka and then decide to either approve or deny them. Easy you think? Until you let through your first terrorist disguised as a tourist who blows himself up, killing several people. Every mistake you make gets deducted from your pay and at the end of the day you still need to feed your own family. I could tell you stories of the heartbreaking choices I had to make but the less I spoil the better. Go check it out for yourself here, it's just ten bucks: dukope.com/

Glory to Arstotzka!

This reminds me of your drawing style. Think the scales are sharper and the teeth are longer.

Maybe you could list and demo the technigues you use on a reference sheet. Sure it would be intresting to see your scale patterns for you dragon styles in one place, you do have a few now.

Not sure what you're trying to insinuate by this comment. If it's ERMEGHERD, THIS ARTIST IS A TERRIBAD ART THIEF TAHT IS COPYING EWE NETAR!!!1!, then I think it's time to have a sit down and talk about how sometimes, artist's styles can "look" similar by coincidence, and superficially. Anyone who truly cared to look can see that these two artists are quite different; Netar seems to go for more of a painterly look, particularly in that Dragon Spotting piece. Their styles have their similarities, but many artists on DA are going to have similar styles and/or mannerisms in their art due to growing up influenced by the same cultures, pop culture, movies, Dungeons and Dragons, etc. Comments like these are OMG TANX CAPTAIN OBVIOUS at best, and at worst accusing people of crimes they were never trying to commit.

Ok, my intent was to purely to share art, give and find views on it. Image just made me remember this artist and nothing else was ment. Still learning what and want not to post. Maybe you could suggest a better method (maybe this should have been private).

My friend is just sensitive as many artists tend to be and was worried she was being accused of art thievery. Tbh, it is so rampant on DA for others to be accused of copying, especially among dragon and species artists it seems. Some artists I knew got into such big fights over it I had to unwatch their journals! I saw so much stuff like that my first year on year that I can be defensive now when it comes to my friends or myself. Nothing personally hostile was meant though! Nothing wrong with sharing art of course, if you're going to say _____ reminds me of _______ I guess my advice would be to clarify its meant to be positive or neutral and perhaps point out specifics that remind you of ______. In an ideal world there would have been nothing wrong with what you said but due to the drama that can erupt on here it could give artists war flashbacks to the time they were either fighting or had to witness some fight in journals or comments over supposed copying or idea theft. It is unfortunate. If you suspect someone of actual art or idea theft I would def. note them and be polite first, please don't resort to the call out journal bs that so many resort to on here :P

So, I saw 300 Rise of an empire...it was actually good. Original is still the best, but I was pleasantly surprised that the sequel is actually good.

I might even see it a second time, can't say the same for the incoming barrage of boring super hero films coming soon...
